Doctor v Lawyer

A doctor and a lawyer were attending a cocktail party when the doctor was approached by a man who asked advice on how to handle his ulcer. The doctor mumbled some medical advice, then turned to the lawyer and asked, "How do you handle the situation when you are asked for advice during a social function?""Just send a bill for such advice" replied the lawyer.

On the next morning the doctor arrived at his surgery and issued the ulcer-stricken man a $50 bill. That afternoon he received a $100 bill from the lawyer.

$50 seems low...

A client who felt his legal bill was too high asked his lawyer to itemize costs.

The statement included this item:"Was walking down the street and saw you on the other side. Walked to the corner to cross at the light, crossed the street and walked quickly to catch up with you. Got close and saw it wasn't you. --- $50.00."

Doesn't every vote count anymore?

Democrats are funny! (I know, I know) - Think about it - they lost by 42 votes in a race for Governor of Washington - where 2.8 million were cast! - They want to fight - understandable - So they want recount after recount until they win (or are happy with the result - which basically will only occur when they win). Problem is - losing by 42 is still losing (losing by 1 vote, is still losing)- GUESS WHAT DEMS - thats what it means to say EVERY VOTE COUNTS!

A little humor too....(very little)

- Did you hear they just released a new Barbie doll called "Divorced Barbie"?Yeah, it comes with
half of Ken's things and alimony.

O'Reilly Right- "Marine Acted Rationally"

There is a reason why this man is the most watched man on cable news -

"The war in Iraq as well as the war on terror is as ugly as it gets. Mistakes will be made. But this action is not one of them." - O'Reilly

O'Reilly is "right on" - now here is a look at "way off"....

(Most of the American press has been cautious in covering the Marine controversy, although The Los Angeles Times ran this subhead): "Marine May Be Charged in the Fallujah Killing of an Unarmed Fighter. The Footage Airs on Arab TV, Further Tarnishing America's Image." - L.A. Times

Hmmm.... Maybe there is a reason why the presidential candidate that the L.A. Times endorsed lost... I guess there is just a certain type of person that reads the L.A. Times (the ones criticizing Marines fighting in Fallujah) and a certain type of person that watches O'Reilly -

D.A. After DeLay

After reading that the D.A. in Travis County verbally attacked House Republicans - don't you begin to wonder if he has an agenda (a liberal one). House Republicans changed the (not very old) rule that said leaders had to give up their posts if indicted - the reason they gave for the change was to prevent any situation where some leftward leaning D.A. with a personal political agenda could influence the Republican leadership...not a bad idea. I just think that this D.A.'s recent comments only underscore the House Republicans' reasoning for the recent rule change. Way to go House GOP - but soon you begin to wonder if DeLay is really worthy of all this extra scrutiny.

Rather Good Day

He (Dan Rather) just never was able to recover from his shameful attack on President Bush -

Rather glad to see him go...

Once again...

I may try to change the name in time - I want a name that is also an available domain name... Any ideas???
